Fun weekend in Austin!

This weekend Ben and I had a great weekend in Austin. We stayed with our best friends, Annie and David, and enjoyed such a fun time with friends! A group of 6 of us hosted a fabulous baby shower for Ann and Dave on Saturday night. It was a couple's BBQ shower and it was a blast! We also ate at this great hot dog place in downtown Austin called Frank's - delicious! I will have to go back there for sure. After a full 2 days of playing with friends, we ate a great lunch with Aunt Lisa and Colleen. What a great weekend. Dakota was with us the entire time. He was incredibly protective over me - particularly with Ann and Dave's bull dog, Sampson. It was so odd - he would show his teeth and really get upset. Sampson is so sweet and calm demeanored - who knows...

Anyways... here are a few pics with me and my dear friends from this weekend! Annie and Dave with me and my handsome Ben at the shower!

Labor Day at Cuatro Estrellas

Ben and I had a nice relaxing weekend at Cuatro Estrellas in Fredericksburg. Our weekend consisted of eating like Kings, relaxing watching the US Open, playing Bananagrams, RummiKub and Scrabble, exploring the land looking for animals and just plain old hanging out. It was great fun. We saw so many animals this weekend - huge snakes, porcupines, deer,... We also heard a family of coyotes and their little babies! Very exciting. It was beautiful weather thanks to tropical depression Hermine. Cool and cloudy which made for a lovely time at the ranch.
Ben and Helen at the sundowner!
Daryl and George at the first dam at sundown. Gorgeous!

Mr. porcupine - we found you... and your two other brothers.

A huge track print... we think it is a porcupine... next to Ben's hand!
