Swimming Lessons!

Twice a week, Luke and I go to swim lessons. It is one of my favorite things to do with my little son. It is so fun to watch him learn and to see his comfort and love of the water grow each lesson. Daryl, Ben's mom - Luke's grandmother, took this adorable video of Luke's first time underwater. I submerged him a tad early - didn't listen to full directions... :/ So he got dunked twice but he did great!!

Splish Splash I was takin' a bath...

8 months old!

A look at a fibi and clo show - San Antonio style!

Today I had a fibi & clo show at my friend Megan's house. It was such a well done show - ALL because Megan is the hostess with the mostess! Check out these photos... The cookies were made and designed by Sweetbites by Lizzie out of New Braunfels. SOO cute! The MOST delicious heart-shaped cucumber sandwiches. I had such a hard time leaving these for the guests - I kept going back for more. Sangria and fresh iced tea. Donut holes and raspberries - who knew that you could make donut holes look so classy!?! Loved it. We also had the jewelry on a very unique display!

Lately... in Tannerville

Well, a lot has gone on since my last post...

My first Mother's Day was wonderful. My sweet husband gave me a fabulous spa package and treated me to a great Mother's Day brunch but not before surprising me with chocolate covered strawberries and Shipley's for bfast. Sugar sugar sugar! :) I wanted to try out this place called Crumpets in San Antonio - I drive past it frequently and it looks like such a pretty setting... Well, that is about all that is good about it. Oh well - now we know. Ben gives is a whopping thumbs down everytime we pass by. No wonder I got peculiar looks at church that morning from my friends - sympathy "nices". Ha ha.

Then we met Annie, Dave and Avery in Gruene for a fun afternoon of the Gristmill and Gruene Hall. It was a first for Avery and Luke... and Annie actually. I just couldn't believe Ann missed our college excursions at Gruene. Very few social outings did Antonia miss!

Soon after, Luke and I flew to North Carolina to visit Epp and Will. Luke went to the Children's Museum, Raleigh farmer's market, and had a great time hanging out with the Corbett's!

Luke and I then picked up Gigi and drove to Jacksonville, NC for Uncle Joe's homecoming! What a special time! Awesome... and very emotional.

Luke, unfortunately, got really sick (pneumonia) and had to go to the ER - twice - in NC. It ended up being a pretty stressful time but we made it through...

Then Ben and I had our first mini-vacay away... sans Luke. (He stayed with his grandparents.) It was fun! Caught up with AZ friends and enjoyed Vegas!!!

Ben is back on his hectic travel schedule and I am starting back to work tomorrow! I took a reduced time position at KIPP-San Antonio as Associate Director of Grants. I am excited to have a little more work life balance - without sacrificing precious time with my littlest guy. I am still doing some contract work with Advance Grants but only small projects plus fibi and clo! And - Luke started swimming lessons and is quite the water bug.
